Andrea Renner - District 20 Laporte area

Andrea is serving her 2nd term on the Laporte City council. She was first elected at 22 years of age. She has served on many committees including traffic, employee compensation, ethics, city historic gun collection, and NIPSCO service review. She also serves on the Purdue University PLAN committee an advisory board to the President of Purdue on legislative affairs and is a Paraprofessional at Pine Elementary School.

  • Local experience and proven electability
  • Incumbent Mary K. Budak was defeated in primary
  • In 2004, in a 3way race the Democrat who virtually did not put any money into campaigning still received 42% of the vote.

Lee Ann Mengelt District 35 Delaware/Madison/Tipton/Hamilton co

Lee Ann Mengelt is a veteran health care worker and community activist. Through her passion for health education, she initiated Chrysler's wellness program in New Castle and Indianapolis and served as VP at Health First in Indianapolis.

Susan Fuldauer - District 88 - GeistReservoir Area

Susan was just picked as our Sixth Candidate to actively and directly support at our Summer Summit July 26th among a field of several great Progressive candidates. Our membersselected Susan because she embodies the spirit and philosophy of our group. She has boldly challenged not only a Republican in a Republican district, but she has challenged the very speaker of the Indiana House - Brian Bosma.

Joe is currently serving his first term as State Representative and serves on three Indiana House Committees - Education, Technology, and Environmental Affairs. He is very active on various community boards and has a Master of Social Work degree. Republicans are targeting his seat in 2006.

Phil is the quintessential progressive. An ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, Phil retired in April of 2000, after 13 years as executive director of the Tri-State Food Bank, a $7 million charity. David Orentlicher District 86 Indianapolis

David was first elect to the Indiana House of Representatives in Nov 2002 and won his seat by a margin of 37 votes. He is a graduate of both the Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Law school. David recognizes the importance of higher education and has been a strong supporter of increased funding in Indiana. David is also a strong supporter and protector of diversity and human rights. Republicans will be targeting his seat.
